Join us in welcoming Jess to the staff of Elle Salon. She was
referred to us by Lauren and Allison, who had both worked with Jess in
the past! She comes to us with a background with Aveda products, has
vast experience in different color, cutting and styling techniques,
smoothing systems and makeup application. She attended an Oway class
during her first week and is now Oway certified. Her Aveda background
helped becoming trained on Oway products a smooth transition. She will
offer all color
services, cuts (women and men), smoothing systems, makeup and upper body
waxing.
She is also now being trained in air brush tanning.

Introducing Oway Scalp Treatments for Common Scalp Issues
|
|
|
|

We shared with you last month that staff attended an Oway
class on scalp disorders and hair loss. We are happy to announce that
we are now offering Oway organic treatments that will help with
identifying scalp disorders and problems:
Re-balancing
- This treatment is for excess Sebum. This treatment is used when the
skin or scalp has defined yellow spots and hair is oily or overly shiny
or where clumps of dandruff are present.
Soothing - This treatment is used for sensitive scalp with red patches, or red, itchy or irritated scalp conditions or sensitive skin.
Stimulating (for Hair Loss)
- This treatment is for hair loss that is caused by genetics,
dermatitis, excess sebum or cancer treatments. This treatment helps to
give the scalp oxygen and stimulates and reinforces the hair follicle.

New Tool to Analyze Your Scalp: Dermascope
We
now have a new tool at the salon (shown in the photo above with April
and Lauren) to help us diagnose dandruff and sebum, which block the
normal
oxygenation of the hair and can cause hair loss. It is a hand held
epiluminescence microscope used to study the scalp and hair roots.
